Shapps: Govt would be a 'hindrance' in union strike talks

Transport Secretary Grant Shapps says the a minister would only be a "hindrance" if they become involved in discussions between the RMT and railway bosses, adding there is is "no way" he could be of "any help" in avoiding any strike action.

He argues that only employers will know what "trade off" could be tabled if pay rises were offered in response to the RMT's strike threats.
