Officials from the California Department of Fish & Wildlife, which oversees the Batiquitos Lagoon nature reserve bordering Carlsbad and Encinitas, says they are seeing an increase in trespassers engaging in dangerous behavior and disturbing wildlife, including an endangered bird species.
