A deputy with the Daviess County Sheriff's Office sustained several broken ribs and bruised lungs in a crash on Monday while responding to a call, according to the sheriff's office.
The daviess county sheriffs office says - one of their deputies - was seriously injured in a crash - monday evening.... according to the d-c-s-o - deputy josh white was responding to a call for service - when he was involved in a serious crash.... deputy white was admitted to the hospital - with several broken ribs and bruised lungs - however - he is expected to make a full recovery.... "it's always a scary situation to get those phone calls that one of your staff -- one of our deputies -- has been involved in an accident or serious situation like this.
I think the vehicle rolled several times, so it looked far worse than what injuries he sustained -- and it's always concerning, but it's fortunate that things turned out the way they did."
