A west lafayette- based company is giving back to the community with a food-drive this month.
The sos relocation specialist team is partnering with the national non-profit "move for hunger."
News 18's micah upshaw joins us in the studio to tell us more about this initiative.

Sos relocation is a moving-service company -- so it's fitting that the owners would partner with move for hunger.
But what really caught their attention is the alarming national and local statistics.
The move for hunger organization estimates the number of americans facing hunger this year could increase by nearly 50- percent.
That's about 17- million more people in need of food.
They report this is a direct result of the covid-19 pandemic.
That statistic is on pare with the need we're seeing right here locally.
Sos leaders are encouraging people to start gathering food now.
The drop off dates start on april 24th and end may first.
They're only taking in non-perishable, boxed and canned items. people suddenly found themselves very vulnerable and in need and this is why it's so important, you know, people need help so i think if you can do a small part, every small part counts.
Foods they're accepting include canned fruits and veggies and fish and meats.
And also cereal and soups.
All food donations will go to food finders food bank.
They'll be collecting food at six locations.
It'll be at both menards, both pooch palaces and both ace hardware stores in greater lafayette.
