The Butte County Public Health Department announced it is moving into another phase of its COVID-19 vaccination process.

Public health says they have been able to move fast in the vaccination process because not everyone who was supposed to vaccinated in phase 1a, decided to get it.

Public health says that if you have been vaccinated it is important to still take safety precautions as the virus can still be transmitted to others.

And everyone in that tier has been vaccinated in that phase.

That means every health care worker, pharmacy worker and urgent care staff who wanted the shot - got the shot.

Now -- it's on to phase 'b' of the vaccination plan.

And there are specific instructions for people next in line.

Dr. robert bernstein says so far they haven't seen anyone experience side effects from getting the vaccine.

It was three weeks ago today - enloe started vaccinating workers with the first dose.

Public health has now given more than 35-hundred vaccines.
