Confederate Monument Arrives At Cemetery.

This morning we are following breaking news out of huntsville!

Right now, huntsville city crews are working on placing the confederate monument right into it's plot at the maple hill cemetery - after removing it from the madison county courthouse!

This is a live look at the cemetery now.

Crews started removing the monument from the front of the courthouse around 11 last night.

Again -- crews made it to the area within the last 30 minutes..

Meaning it took them nearly 7 hours to complete the removal!

District 6 commissioner jess henry malone sent us a statement this morning saying the commission was able to get the monument legally removed and says even though it was a long process it was very important to them that they found a way to move the statue legally.
