Possible power shut offs could schools on the ridge

Parents in Paradise say they are frustrated because the recent power shut offs are impacting their children.

Kristian, this must be frustrating to families there.

It is.

I spoke with a few moms today who told me it's been difficult because the shut offs keep impacting their children's education.

Jessica schaulis/paradise unified parent: it makes it hard for the kids to learn when they keep getting interrupted.

Jessica schaulis' is concerned the back and forth between in person classes and at home learning could impact her daughter's education.

Jessica schaulis: you have to worry about how you can make sure your kids are getting the adequate education they need and without power it makes it really difficult.

Ed gregorio/paradise ridge principal: its been wonderful having students back on campus and we appreciate bringing a sense of normalcy, its unfortunate we might not have school on thursday and friday and just like everyone else we will make the best of it and provide the best possible education.

Danielle larson is another parent worried how a power shutoff would affect her children.

Danielle larson/paradise unified parent: its happening frequently, and its having a negative impact on our kids having to suffer multiple days off of school when they have already had several challenges facing school.
