Both Tennessee and Georgia will soon be able to visit their loved ones who are inside long term care facilities.

Nursing homes in tennessee may be able to have visitors soon.

Starting october 1st, facilities that have gone at least 14 days with no new covid-19 cases among staff or residents will be allowed to offer outdoor or limited indoor visitation with residents.

Residents in long term care facilities are among the most vulnerable.

So, what will visitation look like for loved ones?

They can't just roam around."

According to virginia wolverton, the regional hospital coordinator for emergency preparedness,co vid-19 safety precautions will be followed inside and outside of all facilities.

This includes the use of masks and social distancing.

Visiting a patients individual room is not very likely.

In many places, loved ones have not seen each other since march.

The health department wants you to remember two important facts when you finally get to see those special people.
