Tonight an albany family is still cleaning up paint that they say was thrown onto their cars because of their support for the black lives matter movement.

Emma-- the marchand family woke up sunday morning with this on three of their cars.

White paint splattered across windows, doors, and car hoods.

One family member i spoke with tonight says she believe this happened because they had a black lives matter sign in their front yard.

Here are are some pictures the family took.

You can see someone wrote w-l- m that the family says means "white lives matter."

They believe this happened early sunday morning because when the paint was found, it was still wet.

Birdy marchand says she is shocked someone in*her community would vandalize their cars for their support for the black lives matter movement.

I've seen signs that have also been vandalized just passing by.

It's crazy because these people are not speaking out like the people who belive in white power and white lives matter, they just choose to vandalize marchand posted these photos on an albany community facebook page and in the comment section other residents are also saying they too were target of vandalism because they support the "b- l-m" movement.

One woman says her black lives matter flag was left on her driveway next to human feces.

Emma-- the marchand family did contact albany police about the vandalism.

I did talk to a sargent this evening and he say's the department is looking into the case.
