The City of Tupelo is mourning the death of one of its employees who died from the coronavirus.

Twenty-sixth at the north mississippi medical center.

All employees took tests after blissard's positive one, but no one else tested positive.

A statement from city hall said her commitment to always wearing a face mask undoubtedly halted the virus' spread.

The post goes on to say blissard was a talented musician with a passion for classical music.

She played organ and piano for first united methodist church in pontotoc.

Mayor jason shelton said she was an incredibly humble individual who was happy doing her work without recognition.

"her hard work is why we have infrastructure all over the city of tupelo, she... just a very kind and gentle person, a very funny person, she had a great sense of humor, and she's just going to be missed by all of us."

City hall workers said blissard's funeral will be tomorrow.

No more than 10 people will attend.
