Benjamin James Maisonet was struck by a vehicle on July 5, just before 3 in the morning on West Highway 99 and County Road 48 in Willows.

Still no arrest tonight in a 'hit and run' case near willows that left a chico man seriously injured.

Officers say 24- year old 'benjamin maisonet' was walking in the northbound lane of highway '99-w' just south of county road 48 when he was hit around three a.m.

Sunday.

There is no description of the suspect's vehicle.

The suspect fled before emergency crews arrived.

Maisonet remains in the hospital with major injuries.

And leaving him on the side of the road..

Benjamin masionet was walking on hwy 99 in willows early sunday morning when he a car slammed into him and took off..

"our son was left for dead."

Lying in the middle of the street.

"it hurts, he's my baby.

He was somebody's son, he was somebody's brother, he was somebody's uncle, and he means a lot to us."

His family gave us pictures of him - some of you may find them graphic.

Ben is in the hospital in critical condition with a broken sternum, pelvis, several ribs, a ruptured spleen -- the list goes on.

"my son was deeply loved.

We just want the help that we need from the public to get this person caught.

That's what we want.

Masionet doesnt have insurance, so there is a go- fund-me to help pay for his medical bills.

33-year old nicole bunch of bangor was arrested for the 'swedes fire' last wednesday..

When firefighters arrived to fight the fire they saw a woman leaving the area on foot.

Investigators say they found bunch on the back of a department crew bus, dressed in a cal fire uniform and gathering personal belongings of firefighters.

She was questioned and arreseted..

Bunch was also wanted for two felony warrants in butte county.
