Dr. Douglas Tucker gives advice to people traveling over the holiday weekend.

Doctors at the oktibbeha county hospital say they don't want to see a spike in cases after the holiday.

So i spoke with doctor tucker who said these are some precautions to keep in mind.

"the things that you kind of forget about are to just be vigilant about your own symptoms."

The och regional medical center's doctor douglas tucker, has some advice to keep people safe.

"we want everyone to have fun on the fourth of july it's a fun time to be around friends and family but just be smart."

He said remembering to do frequent hand washing and social distancing are the key to staying healthy.

"cover your mouth when coughing, wear a mask, avoid large crowds."

And if you're traveling to another householddoc tor tucker recommends following the c-d-c guidelines.

"if it's reasonable to stay home i think it's probably a good idea to do so, but don't cancel being around family if you don't have to i guess.

If everybody's healthy it's okay just be smart."

Just a reminder that doctors encourage everyone to wear masks..but to wear them correctly.
