Alabama school re-opening options: Traditional, Remote, Blended
Have this school year.
According to the states model released today - all school are being tasked with creating plans for traditional, remote and blended learning scenarios.
Traditional learning is your classic students in the classroom with a teacher scenario -- obviously there are expected to be some differences taking into consideration spacing and cleaning -- but it will resemble a normal academic environment..
In a remote learning situation students virtually attend classes and receive regular instruction and check ins from their teacher -- the state already committed to offer remote learning to all school systems..
The blended option is a mix of traditional and remote learning making it easy for students to transfer back and forth between remote and traditional learning based on their needs and preferences.
The road map says the department of education recommends but does not require schools offer at least traditional and remote options throughout the 2020-21 academic year.
The state did not say how the local and state remote learning may be different.
