Landlord checking property after tenant left finds abandoned pet CROCODILE

A landlord was shocked after he checked his home and found the previous tenant had left behind a pet crocodile.

Niam Ruampol, 70, visited the rental property in Samut Songkhram, central Thailand on Monday (22/06) night after being told the resident had moved out.

He peered inside a newly built one-metre high concrete pool that was covered with plastic and recoiled with horror when he saw the killer reptile inside.

The frightened landlord called the animal catchers to evacuate the reptile from the property.

They first threw a towel on its head to block its vision before wrestling with the beast and carrying it outside.

The relieved landlord said he had called the previous tenant to ask them take care of the pet crocodile but they refused.

He said: "I called him immediately after I found the crocodile but he refused to come back and take it so I had to contact the rescue team for help.

''I think it's irresponsible of him to leave a dangerous pet at the home.

It could have attacked me.'' The crocodile was taken by the animal rescue team to put in a rehabilitation center before it can be released in the wild.
