He says they come from people who recently went to myrtle beach south carolina..

According to the state health commissioner...on june 11th, the mayor of myrtle beach declared a state emergency, four weeks after reopening its economy.

Public health commissioner dr. steven stacks says a group of people from kentucky went to myrtle beach on the same day the state of emergency was declared.

He says the state there are 2 clusters and a person who tested positive for coronavirus..

However governor beshear says the states numbers are still within plateau range... he reported just 229 new cases...and one new death yesterday..

528 kentuckians have died...and more than 14-thousand 300 have tested positive for the virus.
