$25 million in relief for Hoosier renters
The hoosier state rolling out the covid-19 rental assistance program -- it will use 25 million in federal cares act funding to help hoosiers struggling to pay rent.
The program will provide up to 500 dollars in assistance for four months.
Totaling a maximum of 2- thousand dollars in assistance to eligible renters... the money is to help cover past or on-going rent payments and late fees.
"so i would just add my plea that we continue to do all those things that are going to keep indiana on track so that we do realize that stage 5 as planned coming up next month."
Officials say -- approximately 12-thousand indiana households could be helped.
Payments will be made directly to the landlord -- however -- the landlord must*first agree to participate.
Applications will be accepted online starting at 9 -- monday morning -- july 13th in illinois
