If Americans cut down on visits to non-essential businesses during the COVID-19 outbreak it could help control the spread. According to a new study published by JAMA Network Open, transmission of the disease could be reduced by 45%. UPI reports that decreasing non-essential activities by 75% would cut transmission by 60%. Researchers say that even these major lifestyle changes may not be enough to completely contain the outbreak.

The American Cancer Society says more than 100,000 Americans will be diagnosed with colon cancer in 2020. Now, new research reveals that a particular bacteria found in the mouth may also help colon cancer spread to other organs in the body. According to UPI, the bacteria, called Fusobacterium nucleatum, is one that causes tooth decay. It also travels through the bloodstream to other organs in the body, leading to infections and allowing cancer cells to migrate or metastasize.
As the novel coronavirus COVID-19 pandemic grinds on, some Americans are seriously considering ditching the city for the countryside. But how would living a rural lifestyle affect your finances? According to Business Insider, they'll definitely change. While housing is nearly always significantly cheaper, other expenses will go up. For example, maintaining and servicing a well and septic field can add up, as can maintaining a gravel driveway and access road.
