The prehistoric Doll Tor stone circle, near Birchover in the Peak District, has been damaged by campfires.

The destruction was found by Sam Grimshaw and has been reported to the local police, Historic England, and the Peak District National Park.

Footage from June 3 shows damage caused to the stones, which according to local media, happened "some time" in the previous few days.

Historic England is working with Derbyshire Police, the private landowner and the Peak District National Park to investigate the crime.
