We examine the power of the mighty power of the WORD from the perspectives of a group of young Black men who are poets, as well as community activists, educators, and noted elder poets – aka THE WORD WARRIOR GRIOTS – who speak wisdom from a historical point of view and who have been instrumental figures in the Civil Rights Movement and in shaking the halls of injustice with their weapons of words.
