Testing coming to state pharmacies

Pharmacies across New York state will soon start diagnostic coronavirus testing by appointment as part of a pilot program.

Will soon be broadly available at the pharmacies around the state as part of a pilot program.

The tests and ppe are being provided by the state.

This is the diagnostic testing.

It will be done on an appointment basis.

Once pharmacies receive the kits... they will advertise this and schedule appointments.

3:57 more than 5,000 community pharmacists here in the state of new york.

Roughtly 2500 of those are independents so you find those indpendents in the areas where the chains dont reach and vice versa in some communities, so it's incredibly mportant to have the particpation of the pharmacies.

15 the goal is for 52 pharmancies to administer about 7- thousand tests a week.
