Memorial day is time for appreciating those who gave everything to defend our nation, and one owensboro man is participating in taps across america.

I had a family member and one of my neighbors let me know about taps across america.

And when they shared that with me, i decided right then, this is what we need to do.

Go wherever you are, outside in your yard or in the neighborhood and sound taps.

Many services and large gathering across the united states were not doable on memorial day due to the pandemic, however schrock believes it was important to honor those who have made the ultimate sacrifice since the first time that i was probably 16 years old maybe, i haven't been able to be a part of this with a group on memorial day.

It doesn't matter if anybody hears me play or not, what matters is that we still remeber and honor.

And on a day like memorial day, schrock believes there is a great deal we can learn from those we stop to honor.

Living during the pandemic, we've all adapted greatly and so we've found ways that we together even though it's through social media or, neighborhood posts, or a facebook live stream, or however we can do that and that way we can still come together and honor and remember those who gave the ultimate sacrifice.
