How is Olmsted Co. Preparing for Reopening?

The county is working with local businesses to reduce the risk for staff and customers

Safety./// now that the sta?a?home order has expired and minnesota is slowly turning the dial on reopening... olmsted county public health is keeping tabs on whether or not transmission could increase locally.

Public health director graham briggs says the risk for transmission could quickly rise as more people venture out in public.

Briggs says social distancing has given the county time to build up it's health care capacity... and investigate covi?19 cases.

"we can also take the information that we're gathering from these cases and contacts.

That helps us identify risks that are out there in the community like certain populations or certain areas where it also allows us to find outbreaks where we see a common source where people have been exposed.

Because of this information gathering we can build a capacity for, we can now interrupt transmission."

The county is preparing a plan for the next month.
