Children using food banks up 122%, MPs told

The number of children using food banks has increased by 122% within the space of a year, the Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (EFRA) Committee was told on Friday.

Emma Revie, chief executive of the Trussell Trust charity, told MPs that Covid-19 had an "instantaneous and profound" impact on the number of people using food banks.
