In downtown guntersville.
We want to stay on the payment protection program for another few minutes now.
We're joined by scott latham -- the president and c-e-o of the alabama bankers association.
Thank you for coming on the show this afternoon.
- what are the eligibility requirements under the paycheck protection program?
- there was a lot of frustration intially that larger banks were shutting out smaller institutions - and the businesses they represent - by flooding the program with requests and essentially gobbling up all the money first.
Has that been addressed?
- what are the terms of a paycheck protection program loan?
- are you seeing a lot of farmers and ranchers applying for the p-p-p loans?
- what documentation do business owners need to provide?
- the latest data i've seen - dated may first - showed that alabama had approved 69- percent of p-p-p loans in rounds one and two.
That's more than florida or georgia - but less than mississippi and tenessee.
Why is that?
And what are you doing to get those numbers up?
