Mother's Day U-Pick-It Flowers

The North Star Orchards in Westmoreland is having a u-pick-it tulips for Mother's Day and the few weeks after.

And if you still don't know what to get her..

None "cold and snowy weather is expected this mother's day weekend, but north star orchards is still having a blooming u-pick-it season for their mother's day tulips."

And you can come pick some to keep.

Sot "this is the second year we've done the tulips.

What we were trying to create is an event like we have in the fall.

Most people in the area know we do a pretty good job in the fall with the u-pick apples and the cider and donuts.

So we wanted to create sort of a spring festival."

Vo these flowers bloom right around mother's day, making them a perfect gift to give.

Here's how to pick them: sot "people will come and they'll bring their own clippers and they'll either cut the stems or you can actually pull the stem up and that doesn't harm the plant."

Vo if you would like to pick some tulips, they cost $1 per stem or $10 for a pre- made bouqette from their market.

Sot "we're going to offer the tulips two weeks, maybe even three weeks.ut just to be ablto come out awalkt people to get an opportunity to see a full orchard in bloom."
