Catering company opens up food truck during pandemic
About those possibilities.being successful.
Leah says "last week a new food truck opened up here in medford.
It's called truffle pig craft kitchen.
And it's right next to fry family farm."
Toss.
Saute.
Serve.
Sanitze.
Repeat.
Shawna we just needed to get back to business truthfully.
Skylar it was really awkward time for us to get started with the food truck.
Skylar golden and shawna williams are siblings and the owners of truffle pig craft kitchen.
They've been known as a catering company.
Now, they have a food truck.
Skylar started last wednesday.
Had a really great week.
The siblings bought this food trailer in february.
Planning to open at some point this spring or summ.er but that quickly turned to as soon as possible.
Skylar and then all of our business kind of fell through and so we kind of just had to throw it together quickly as possible.
All of their catering plans for this summer canceled.
Fear drove them to make a successful open.
Shawna we think it's a great way to still be able to offer food because we do have a food trailer.
Where people can safely come up, get some food and take it home.
Plus they are in a great place.
In the parking lot of fry family farm.
Skylar it's great because people can get lunch, do some shopping.
Buy some plant starts.
Shawna there's no door handles to open.
I try to open everything.
And touch everything and sanitize inbetween.
Each week the owners say local and organic products sway the menu.
With ingredients coming from... well obviously fry family farm.
Skylar it kind of just made sense to us.
