On March 30, Natalee was diagnosed with Ewing Sarcoma - a rare form of bone cancer.

Last month she was diagnosed with a rare form of bone cancer.

However- despite these rough times, the community has rally-ed around this girl in a huge way.

Emma jerome has the story emma jerome: " share to me a little about natalee's story and her journey so far" "at first i thought it's easy you'll get it over with and then as soon as it started going on i didn't think much of it" natalee is an 8th grader at monroe middle school in eugene "at school she had an incident where she thought she broke her toe - the doctor took an x ray of her toe and basically said there's something going on you need to see another doctor" "that's when we discovered how agressive her cancer was and how agressive this form of cancer is" last month she was diagnosed with ewing sarcoma - a rare form of bone cancer making it difficult for her to play volleyball - a game she loves so much in just three days a go fund me - set up by natalee's grandma - has raised nearly 50 thousand dollars "everyone in the community's just rallied around us, even people we don't know" she starts her first round of chemo monday at doernbecher hospital up in portland "how you feeling about tomorrow natalee?"
