Now a local organization is also working to help individuals and families struggling.

So the salvation army is hoping the community will step up if they're able.

We are learning that people are reaching out to the organization., they are really worried about paying off all the rent that will have accumulated over the course of the pandemic.

They could owe several months of money.

The salvation army wants to help offset those costs.

They have a resource fund to help individuals and families make rent payments during difficult times.

And if you're <people who are in that really great place where they can work from home or where they haven't been laid off or where they're able to kind of continue living life as normal just from home to realize there are a lot of people not in that situation and anything we can do to pull together as a community has an incredible impact and it's going to help us get through this that much quicker.
