Local organization collects funds to purchase meals from local restaurants to feed frontline hospital workers.

Taking care of coronavirus patients, but who's taking care of them?

Local hospital workers, working endless shifts trying to find just a few minutes to take a break and maybe get a bite to eat.

Cindy chan phillips is a registered dietician and founder of the front line appreciation group... or flag mohawk valley.

The organization collects cash donations from the community and purchases meals from area restaurants to feed local hospital workers.

So far they have collected 4 thousand dollars and delivered 400 meals to frontline workers at st.

Luke's and st.

Elizabeth's hospitals.

"they work 12 hour shifts, sometimes longer.

They don't even have time to go to the bathroom, let alone go to the cafeteria.

Can you imagine going a long shift on an empty belly?

It's a very stressful time.

They need to take care of patients so it would be very nice to have meals delivered to them so they can eat."

Flag mohawk valley is not only benefiting the hospital workers , but also the restaurants they're purchasing the food from.
