A lincoln county woman lost her job after layoffs because of the coronavirus.

It's a harsh reality many people throughout the country now face.

Tonight we hear from her and learn more about this new reality.

Waay31's steven dilsizian joins us live with her story.

Im here at big spring park, its surrounded by non essential businesses forced to layoff workers.

Just across the state line, i talked with a woman who facing similar challenges... losing her own job take sot: kelsey beckley - lives in lincoln county "i didn't think we were going to get laid off so i was kind of doubting it, when it hit it was like wow you know, im one of those that doesn't have a job, and just a week ago i was grateful that i still had a job" kelsey beckley heard the impact the coronavirus is having on people throughout the country.

Many people are losing their jobs as companies close their doors... but she didn't expect it to happen to her.

When her boss called a meeting, she had a feeling it wasn't good.

There was about 5 to 6 of us that got laid off at that time, and more the next week" beckley says being unemployed is something that not only impacts her.... but also those closest to her.

Take sot: kelsey beckley - lives in lincoln county "most of my family, my sister, my mother, alot of my immediate friends, are jobless too right now" through it all... she told me she is staying positive... and hopeful... for better days ahead.

Using your time wisely, you have off work, you're not sitting around moping about not having a job, this is a time to work on yourself, work on things you've probably neglected."

Beckley says the coronavirus caused a snowball effect in lincoln county, restaurants and businesses closing one after another.

She's hopeful to return to work soon.
