Local restaurants providing giving free meals to students over extended break

Lucille's BBQ, Willie's Family Restaurant, and The Bluebird Restaurant are giving free meals to K-12 students who need food over the extended break from school.

Restaurants are stepping up to the plate.three locations will offer free meals for "k" through twelve students who need food while school is out longer than normal.fox 55's mallory beard reports on the impact this will make on students and families.

She and her staff are taking matters into their own hands now.

Roxanna brings up another reason why students miss meals at home.

Maybe they don't have daycare or anything they can provide for them."that's why these restaurants are giving a hand to those who might suffer in silence during this time.

The three restaurants will be providing meals starting tomorrow through friday.

Willie's is providing breakfast and lunch from six a-m to one p-m.lucille's will give lunches from eleven am to one p-mand the bluebird restaurant will give lunches from eleven a-m to two-thirty p-m.
