In an exclusive conversation... wtva's wayne hereford spoke with the man charged in a shooting earlier this week in verona... wayne joins us live from verona with what he had to say.

19-year old timothy randle said very plainly on his way inside the lee county justice court building that he shot camron ramsey in self-defense.

But that didn't stop the judge from giving him a one-hundred thousand dollars bond which was later revoked by the d.a.

As it turns out, he was already out on bond for another aggravated assault with a deadly weapon charge.

'brother pulled a gun on me first man.

I would have never shot him.

I just my money back.that's all."

That was timothy randle's story on the way into the court building.

The shooting happened outside the chevron on raymond avenue in verona wednesday afternoon.

"somebody pull a gun out on yall, yall going to shoot 'em right?

Alright."

But today's hearing was only an initial appearance.

He will have to prove his guilt or innocence in front of a grand jury in april.

The verona police chief says randle may have a hard time in court since he has a prior criminal record.

"he as previously out on a felony bond already for aggravated assault here in lee county.

That case is currently going through the court process.

We are going to the d.a.s to see if we can get his bond revoked."
