Donelson neighbors cleaning up after deadly tornadoes

Several people there told us they had to leave their homes in the pitch black after tuesday morning's tornado waay 31's sophia borrelli is live there now - where many are picking up the pieces of their lives today.

This is my third day here in middle tennessee covering these storms and let me tell you.

Seeing this devastation never gets easier.

She was here all day trying to salvage what she could of her memories.

She told me she's lived in the community for less than 2 years - but in times of crisis - her neighbors helped her get to safety.

We had to crawl out through our basement stair window.

Some of our neighbors helped up out of the window.

When we came around it was pretty shocking because we just thought we lost the roof.

We didn't realize that the house was pretty much destroyed."

One thing taylor is thankful for is her life and the volunteers who have shown up to help.

One thing thankfully not in short supply here - these volunteers and things like snacks and water.
