Bernie Sanders Has Received Campaign Donations From 1 Million People The Vermont senator is the first 2020 presidential candidate to reach that mark.

Campaign manager Faiz Shakir, via statement According to Sanders' campaign team, 99 percent of the donors have not reached the maximum limit.

This means they can donate more to the senator's 2020 presidential hopes.

Campaign aides say teachers have been the most common to donate.

Sanders' campaign adds that Starbucks and Walmart employ many of the individual people.

As does Amazon, whom the senator has clashed with in the past over workers' rights.

Aides also say that over 125,000 people are donating to the campaign on a monthly basis.
