Autopsy on UK schoolgirl found in Malaysia
An autopsy has begun in Malaysia following the discovery of the body of London teenager Nora Anne Quoirin, Malaysian police said Wednesday.
Nora, aged 15, went missing from an eco-resort in Negeri Sembilan state ten days ago.
Search teams on Tuesday found a body beside a stream a short distance from the resort, and her parents identified it as Nora's.
Deputy police chief Che Zakaria Othman said the autopsy to determine the cause of death could take several hours.
Police believe Nora, who has learning and physical disabilities, climbed out through an open window in the living room of the resort cottage.
They listed her as a missing person but said the investigation included possible criminal aspects of the case.
