(SOUNDBITE) (English) TOTTENHAM MANAGER MAURICIO POCHETTINO SAYING: "We want to start tomorrow being tough and aggressive and put a high tempo on the game, we'll see if we can deliver in that situation, and then we cannot guess, I think.

It's going to be our second game in our new stadium, first game in the Champions League that is a completely different competition than the Premier League.

Of course we hope and wish that the atmosphere is going to be amazing and going to be tough for our opponents and can help us in our performance in the way that we want." 2.

(SOUNDBITE) (English) TOTTENHAM MANAGER MAURICIO POCHETTINO SAYING: "We know very well that City is doing fantastic, they have brilliant players, one of the best coaching staff and manager in the world and of course it's going to be tough.

We are going to play quarter finals, we are not going to play a friendly game.

In quarter finals you know the big players, the big team, they love to play this type of game and we want to be sure to match their motivation and their desire." STORY: Tottenham Hotspur manager Mauricio Pochettino plans to attack Manchester City from the start of the first leg of their Champions League quarter-final at the London side's gleaming new stadium on Tuesday (April 9).

And the Argentinian hopes the atmosphere in the long-delayed 62,000-seater arena will make it tough for the team sitting second in the Premier League behind Liverpool.

The new stadium finally hosted a league game last week when Tottenham beat Crystal Palace 2-0 on an historic night for the club.

Tottenham will be playing in only their second Champions League quarter-final, having lost 5-0 on aggregate to Real Madrid in 2011.

With City in relentless form, winning 21 of their last 23 matches in all competitions, they are firm favourites to avoid a repeat of last year's quarter-final defeat by Liverpool.

Argentinian Pochettino rates City manager Pep Guardiola as the best in the world and is well aware of the quality of City's squad, forecasting a tough game.

Guardiola's side are chasing an unprecedented quadruple, having already won the League Cup, and Pochettino says if any side can win all four trophies - FA Cup, Premier League and Champions League - it is City.

Pochettino will almost certainly be without midfielders Eric Dier and Erik Lamela.

The second leg will be in Manchester on April 17.
