It didn't involve "a train" "blocking an intersection".
Joins us now..
"live" from wabash avenue..
What unfolded this morning.
"lacey"... //////// i'm here near square donuts in terre haute -- where around 9 this morning -- a viewer reported watching a man get off of a stopped train -- and walk into square donuts.
The train wasn't blocking the intersection at wabash -- however it did stretch back to block the railroad crossing on ohio street.
Take a look at the video the news 10 viewer shared.
We spoke with an employee at square donuts who confirms -- a "c-s-x conductor" stopped in this morning for donuts.
And they say-- "it's not the first time"!!
Workers report this is the second one they've seen in roughly a year and a half.
The worker told us -- it's unusual they stopped so late in the day.
She says-- it's usually in the wee hours of the morning.
Today i spoke with a terre haute resident who's one of many that deal with the trains on a daily basis.
//////// //////// "quite frequently i think it was just last week the train was stopped on the tracks, so definitely late to work it's kind of a common occurrence.
Especially if you've got an emergency from one end of town to the other, it's a pain."
///////// news 10 has reached out to c-s-x -- within the last 20 minutes..
A representative did get back to us.
They apologize for the inconvenience ..
And are continuing to investigate this matter.
Reporting live in terre haute i'm lacey clifton for new 10.
Back to you.
