Scientist behind China’s first Covid vax expelled from parliament for graft

China’s leading scientist, who created the initial inactivated Covid-19 vaccine during the peak of the pandemic in the country in 2020, has lost his position in the National People’s Congress (NPC) because of severe violations of discipline and law, as reported by official media in Beijing on Monday.
