Can you imagine the outcry if a song was written about England with the refrain I’ve never met a nice Englishman which suggests that the English smell like baboons and that they are ignorant loud-mouths with no sense of humour? Well that is what South Africans in the mid-1980s had to endure when Spitting Image performed their song I’ve never met a nice South African.  It was released as the B-side of the chart-topping Chicken Song.
