Scotland to battered by snow, wind and rain on Christmas as Storm Pia weather alerts issued

The Met Office has warned gusts of up to 80mph could pummel the country on Christmas Day, with widespread rain and snowfall in northern areas from Friday, December 23 until Christmas Eve.
