Minneapolis, Dominic Cummings, Emily Maitlis ... why is the whole world suddenly turning into Northern Ireland writ large?

The pictures coming from American cities of riots in the wake of the killing of George Floyd are both shocking and, from a Northern Irish perspective, depressingly familiar.
