Man Convicted Over Murder of Woman, Airedale Avenue Cottingley, Bradford

A man has today been found guilty of murdering his ex-partner in her home in Cottingley.  

Officers were called on the morning of 11 March to a house on Airedale Avenue to reports of a concern for welfare of a woman.  

On arrival officers found Michelle Egge Bailey with serious injuries. The 54 year old was pronounced dead a short while later.  

She was found with stab wounds to her neck.

Stephen Lawton aged 45 of Airedale Avenue was arrested and charged with her murder.
