Football Fan Given Banning Order For Racist Abuse, Huddersfield

A Bristol Rovers supporter who shouted racist abuse during a match against Huddersfield Town has been given a three-year football banning order.

Peter Wynn, aged 62, from Whittock Road, Stockwood, Bristol, was arrested at the John Smith stadium on 19 October 2024 after another supporter heard him shouting a racist comment and reported it to stewards and the police.

Wynn was charged with a public order offence and appeared at Huddersfield Magistrates Court last Thursday (17 April) where he pleaded guilty and received a fine.
