Motorbike Owners Urged to Take Extra Care Following Spate of Thefts in Wakefield

Motorcyclists are being urged to ensure their vehicles are being kept secure following an increase in bike thefts across the Wakefield District. 

Wakefield CID has seen an increase in reported motorcycle thefts since the start of November in areas such as Pontefract, Castleford, and Wakefield City Centre.

Enquiries suggest that car parks at shopping centres and supermarkets are being targeted and, in some cases, suspects are travelling on motorbikes, quad bikes and dune buggies.
