Police are appealing for witnesses to a two-car collision in Honiton which left four people injured.

Emergency services were called at 3.10pm on Friday 6 May following the collision between a green Toyota Hilux and a black Vauxhall Corsa on the A30 at Monkton.

The driver and a passenger in the Corsa, both women in her 30s, sustained minor injuries. Two children in the car were also injured.

A teenage boy was seriously injured and taken to Derriford Hospital; a younger boy was also taken to Bristol Royal Infirmary with chest injuries, not believed serious.

The male driver of the Toyota was uninjured.

South West Ambulance Service, Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service, and Highways, also attended the incident.

The A30 was closed for six hours to allow for a forensic examination of the scene and recovery of the vehicles.

Roads Policing Team officers are investigating the circumstances surrounding the collision and are appealing for witnesses.
