Shortly before 3.42pm on Wednesday 15^th of September 2021 Police and South West Ambulance were called to a collision involving a Black BMW, a white Peugeot and 2 pedestrians (mother and daughter) on Windmill Road in Paignton, Devon.

As a result of the collision one pedestrian, an 11-year-old female sustained what were described as life threatening injuries. The other pedestrian a 39-year-old female sustained life changing injuries.  The 11-year-old was air lifted by the Devon Air Ambulance to Bristol Children’s Hospital and the 39-year-old was taken to Bristol Southmead Hospital.

The driver of the BMW a 54 year old female was treated by paramedics at the scene for minor injuries.

Local officers, as well as officers from the Alliance Operations Department attended and conducted an initial investigation.  Officers were joined by Forensic Collision Investigators who conducted a forensic examination of the scene.  Anyone who witnessed the collision or has any information in particular dash cam is asked to contact Devon and Cornwall Police on 101 quoting Log number 607 of the 15^th of September 2021.
