At approximately 1254 Hrs on Monday 14^th June 2021 a car collided with a pedestrian on Fore Street in the centre of Looe in Cornwall.  The collision involved a black BMW Z4 convertible and an 81-year-old female pedestrian.

As a result of the collision, the pedestrian has sustained life changing injuries. The occupants of the BMW were not injured.

The pedestrian was taken to Derriford Hospital where she is being treated for her injuries.

The driver of the BMW failed to stop after the collision, but has since been located and is helping Police with enquiries.  Any persons who witnessed the collision or has information regarding it – in particular any Dashcam footage / CCTV are asked to contact Devon and Cornwall Police on 101 quoting log number 431 of the 14^th June 2021

Local officers as well as Officers from the Alliance Roads Policing Team attended the scene.

Police would like to thank the public for their patience whilst we dealt with the collision.
