Serious collision, A377 Newton St Cyres

Police are appealing for information after a serious collision on the A377 at Newton St Cyres yesterday afternoon, Sunday 6 June.

The collision occurred at around 1.20pm and involved a black Toyota Aygo and a silver VW Caddy.

The two occupants of the Toyota, a male and a female, sustained serious injuries and were taken to Derriford Hospital.

The driver of a silver VW Caddy sustained minor injuries and was treated at the scene by the ambulance service.

Specialist officers from Devon and Cornwall Police’s Roads Policing Team carried out an investigation at the scene. The road was closed for around seven-and-a-half hours.

Anyone who witnessed the collision, or was in the area at the time and saw the vehicles prior to the incident, or has relevant dashcam footage, is asked to contact police on 101 or via email at 101@dc.poice.uk quoting log number 588, 06/06/21.
