CHARGE: Murder investigation launched in Plymouth

A man has been charged in connection with the death of a man in Plymouth.

Police were called at 9.55pm on Thursday 18 February to an address on Shelley Way following concerns for the welfare of a man.

70-year-old Patrick Powney, was taken to Derriford Hospital where he was later confirmed deceased.

Shaun Powney, aged 51, of Shelley Way, Plymouth, has been charged with murder in connection to this incident.

He is due to appear before Plymouth Crown Court at 10am on Thursday 18 March.
