Serious Collision, Sandygate, Exeter

At approximately 16.11hrs on Friday 25th September 2020, Emergency Services were notified of a two vehicle road traffic collision, involving a Green ROYAL ENFIELD motorcycle and a Blue VW Scirocco on the M5 Southbound on-slip, Junction 30, Sandygate, Exeter.


The male rider of the motorcycle was taken to RD&E hospital, Exeter, with critical injures and his next of kin have been informed. The road was closed for a number of hours whilst a forensic examination of the collision scene was conducted.
                                

Officers from the Roads Policing Team attended the scene and are now appealing for witnesses who may have seen the collision, or either vehicle prior to the collision, particularly those who may have dash camera footage, to contact police, quoting log number 554 of 25/09/20.
